Does expansion means growing? We don’t think so!!!

You know when we go to wedding or any function where buffet system is used, what we do? We take lots of food items then we eat a lot and then we waste a lot, why? Because we see the scope and opportunity, so we try to make most of it, right? Well eating a lot is easy, but digesting it, is not, same way when your venture become successful or you want to acquire majority market, you sometimes expand and expand and expand and keep on expanding. Initially it seems necessary and kind of easy, but then maintaining is hard.

So, my brother and I were sitting at on a Friday night hunting for something to watch on T.V., couldn’t find any decent movie, so we thought let’s see if there is any football match coming on sport’s channel. We scroll through star sports 1, star sports 2, star sports 3, star sports 4 and such 17 channels; the good thing about sports is that, there is hardly any language barrier, so we even scrolled through regional language sports channel. The only good thing which come out of it was that our 15 minutes went by scrolling those channels, but other than that nothing useful was coming up. They were only showing those stupid shows which they have came up with recently where host just babble everything and anything that they want or they show highlights of cricket. I know India’s primary sport is cricket, but that doesn’t mean that people want to see either cricket or cricket related shows on all 20 something channels.

Next 2-3 days, I was again going through the sports channels, just to see what is going on there along with reading more about these channels on internet. So, India has somewhat around 30-40 sports channels, there can be more, but these are main. Among these 30-40 channels, star has 17, Sony has around 10 channels and DD has 1. So, when I was scrolling through star’s channels, 9 of 17 were showing pro kabbadi league, even writing this part feels stupid, I mean what nonsense is this. The funny part is you have to subscribe most of the channels individually, because there is no proper package, indirectly you are paying for all channels, which mostly shows same content.

While doing research another surprising thing for me was channel DD sports, the government channel. So, it is single one, there are no other sports channel in its name yet it was telecasting better content than all star’s and Sony’s channels. I was watching MTB Himalaya bike race on it and one of the contestants was Indian who said that I didn’t even know that such competition happens, otherwise I should have participated earlier. The one channel which has not been given importance can be more informative than all other channels.

What companies like Star and Sony do is that, they oversupply, they try to create artificial market and for this they expand, while expanding they hire in bulk. Around some 5 years back Star got permission from government to start 3 new channels. As per them they wanted to telecast football matches on these 3 channels and in the name of football they also got lots of advertisement, but as of now I don’t see much of football. In fact, around March this year, Star Sports was supposed to broadcast club football matches but didn’t do so as it has to telecast some show related to IPL. So, after over expanding, companies do such things, they go down soon, there resources go waste and they start to lay off employees, just like when people overeat, they puke or go through loose motions or diarrhea. This oversupply affects country’s economy.

It is always better to keep an eye on the changing market, understanding the need and interest of your audience and accordingly plan your company’s strategy. Growing is important but to understand and choose the right way to grow is more important. Brands like Star goes haywire under the name of expansion, feels waste of all the resources. When you have power, goodwill, established market then just plan and go ahead than just moving ahead and expanding.

Make better choices and better use of available resources!!!

These creators are highly looked up by their followers in terms of fashion, lifestyle, food, health, travel goals, etc. The more these creators share their work, the more their audience prefer choosing the same product or place or food to experience.

To give an example, one of such creator started with a campaign, wherein he conveyed to his audience that he would donate his blood on his every birthday and he did the same. This was immediately followed by his followers, a lot of his followers started, sharing videos and picture, donating blood on their birthday. That impactful is the power of influencer marketing. Like this, there are many influencers in different-different categories like Food bloggers, travel bloggers, fashion influencer, lifestyle influencer, etc. with “N” number of followers on their profile.

Brands now have started approaching such influencers, understanding the importance, power and reach of the them. But, it involves a deep study and analysis before they approach them. The insights of their page are analyzed by the type of audience involved, their likes and dislikes, their interest and then they are approached by the brand that is into the similar category. Not just brands, but now a lot of actors and film makers have started approaching these influencers for their movie promotions. Deciding vote by the mom-decider

The title should itself explain the context of this blog, but if it is still confusing, this article is about those voters who truly doesn’t care about who drives the country or who are too upset with the politicians.

So I was having a chat with my family about how people vote and about the weak organization of election committee, at that moment my aunt pointed out that lots of people will swing to any side if they are provided with mere incentives like two bottle of beers or for few bucks, now this is true, but the problem here is that my aunt don’t even realize that she falls in the same category, it’s just for her the incentive is patni-dharm, it’s not like my aunt is only one with this problem there are many like her including my mother and my sister-in-law. They will vote to whomever their husbands ask them to vote. Same goes for lots of unmarried girls who follow the direction of father and brother during elections, even I did that initially because politics didn’t interest me, I didn’t care who won. Apart from myself this negligence comes from many places.

One of my friend told me the story about her school teacher, which was absurd for me. Her teacher told her that during the Election Day when she went to booth, she went blank, she didn’t know anything about any candidate or party, then she saw symbol of cooker and since the first thing she do in morning is put her cooker on stove, so she gave vote to the candidate with cooker symbol and their goes everything with cooker.

Now, let’s talk about the celebrities. These celebrities influences the voters on another level. Bringing in the right people is definitely working for political party. Even though many people mock television celebrity, politician knows their important and BJP very well knew the important of ultimate Indian bahu, Ghar ki Tulsi, Smriti Irani. She did lose the Amethi, UP, election in 2014 against the son of congress, Rahul Gandhi, but the margin by which she lost was small, hence people are expecting that she might even win this time. Son of Punjab, Sunny Deol, Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini, Gautam Gambhir and many more are brought into this party so they can help these undecided voters, decide.

I don’t know if all these people are entirely wrong, because I am still somewhere near to surface than deep end, but we all will be standing united when it comes to facing consequences of this election.

2019 elections are on its way and we have already started experiencing diff. Marketing and branding strategies out there by all the political parties

Every one (political space) be very competitive in creating awareness and reaching out to the public that they literally go out on the streets with all the hoardings, followers and mics and speaker to create awareness.

Studying this whole marketing and branding methods which are now traditional in their own form, we @4fcabin realized that “No PRACHAAR could be a PRACHAAR in its own way”. Now you would ask what? How?

So PM @narendramodi has taken many initiatives as Bharat Sarkaar, and to highlight one of those important movement would be the Digital India Movement that has pushed and benefited the country a lot. So now India as a country is on a verge of Digital advancement and things are shifting towards digital mediums. So why not use this medium at its par to promote political parties? We know you would say they are already doing it! But what we wanna say here is, if one of those political parties just back off from doing Prachaar the coming election, by going on the streets and just promote themselves over digital mediums and other modes then that would be the highlight of their work.

Promote yourself over social media and other modes digitally by understanding the fact that prachaar might give you maximum reach but not doing so would give you maximum attention. Prachaar just create mess for local public (Aam aadmi) leading to traffic, chaos, noise pollution and so much more. If you stop doing it then you as a party are actually thinking of the common public by not disturbing their routine.

Because it is more than just assumptions!

“PROBLEM” and “CHALLENGE” are the words that nobody would raise their hands to, on asking, “Who has never faced any problem or challenge in their life?” You be rich, you be poor but my friend you have a problem/challenge. It is just the illusion that we create by building up all the “Assumptions” about people around us, which end up making us believe that we have so much to deal with in life and rest of them are so happy with their life.

Let’s talk about an employee and an entrepreneur. Both of them have their own assumptions build up by what they see. The employee thinks of him as the donkey with all the companies burden on him and his entrepreneur as the luckiest person who has a very good, bossy life. Whereas, the entrepreneur thinks that the employee has a very sorted life where he has to think of the business for a limited period of time and has a very balanced life socially with a fixed and assured income he would get at the end of every month. But is this the reality? No, it is not. It is just what we see but fail to analyze. It is just our way of seeing. Have you ever tried working on your own point of view any time? For a change, do try for once. You will have a whole new world in front of you.

Majority of us believe in focusing on comparing our lives with many around us than really focusing on our own problems. If problem exist then never forget a solution definitely exist. It’s just that we be so busy in making assumptions about others that we fail to reach out the solution for our problems. I am not saying that this means that you never solve a problem or deal with a challenge but the pace with which we deal with them is on a lower scale that by the time we reach out to the solution, our competitor has had already overtaken us in the market.
